The stories of billionaires beginnings is inspiring, especially the nouveau riche with humble beginnings. Charles Feeney of London has an estimated 1.6 billion dollars and he started by selling sandwiches while in college. His turned his entrepreneurial skills to selling duty-free liqueur and cars to US servicemen in Europe. He developed that business into a 160 duty free outlet Stores.

I was reading about him and other nouveau riche billionaires in an article at : http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/1991/09/09/75462/index.htm . There are many more inspiring stories there of self-made billionaires.

The story of Leonard Norman Stern is very inspiring to anyone in a dead end clerk job. His father arrived in America with a flock of canaries and opened a pet shop. Leonard took over and turned himself into a billionaire with Hartz, the well know kitty litter company.

Another nouveau riche billionaire, Jack Rudin was also the grandson of an immigrant. He and his brother now invest in real estate in New York City, and follow their grandfathers advice to “never sell”. The nouveau riche are inspiring to anyone struggling to start a business.

I think the CNN.Money.com article is proof that anyone can become nouveau riche if you work very hard. The site is also great for anyone who has a lot of money, or, like me., aspires to have a lot of money some day in the future.
